To Tithe or Not to Tithe?

TO TITHE OR NOT TO TITHE? Because the tithe was considered the LORD’S, withholding it was considered robbing God. Under the old covenant, robbing God brought about a curse. (Malachi 3:6 – 10…NIV) We are to bring ALL the tithe into the storehouse, not part of it. Abraham tithed the whole tithe. Israel brought tithes of all. When we wholeheartedly do the things God told us to do, then we open the door for Him to wholeheartedly bless us. Your Father has promised to supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19) You are not blessed if you tithe grudgingly. When you walk with the Lord, doing all you know to do, you have confidence when you pray. If you know in your heart that you have robbed God by withholding your tithes, you have no confidence when you pray. Many tempt God by withholding their tithe or by partial tithing. Tithing on ‘net’ rather than ‘gross’ is partial tithing. We are not partially delivered; Jesus did not partially die; and He is not partially coming back. It’s time to stop quibbling. We need the blessing of God on our home and on our finances today as never before. Stop looking for ways to avoid God and begin to be ‘doers of the word’. Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10)
